New Bling, Fall/Winter Wardrobe Craves, and Another Tag

Hello everyone! Sorry I've been kind of M.I.A. - school has been keeping me extremely busy with all of the essays, test, projects, etc. :(

Well, I went shopping a couple weekends ago and bought some new jewelry - a ring, a necklace, and a bracelet.

Love the necklace because it's very practical and can dress up any outfit.

The bracelet was just too cute to resist - it's actually one of the few braceletes I've tried on that actually look good on my skinny wrists (I did have to take off a few links, though).

And then this ring. Usually I'm not the most adventurous with big rings since, hence the small wrists, I also have skinny fingers. But the ring is actually not too overpowering and adds a very cute touch to an outfit.

I have already worn each piece with an outfit, and am also planning to do some outfit posts with them, so look forward to those. :)

And of course, as you all know, the cold and blustery days are approaching (or, in some cities, they are already here!), but in L.A. it is still warm and sunny - in fact, today it's going to be 84 degrees.

Anyway, I've already done some fall/winter wardrobe shopping, but there are also many things I'm still craving for:

-A gray, black, or cream colored sweater dress, possibly a turtleneck. I have a sweater dress, but it's in teal and I would like one in a classic color.

-Jet black jeans. I have jeans in black, but not black-black. They have some fading/whiskering, and I am really wanting jet black jeans! Today I am planning to go shopping for them.

-Some slouchy turtlenecks. I, actually, do not own a turtleneck - I am still trying to find the perfect cotton one that is plain and isn't too tight at the collar.

-Plain patent leather flats. I blogged about this a long time ago, and still have not found a pair. I do have patent leather flats, but I have outgrown them, and thereforeneed a new pair.

-A purple scarf! I am in love with purple this season, of course. J. Crew and Aqua have really cute scarves, am thinking about buying...

-Other miscellaneous accessories, such as gloves, legwarmers, skinny belts, etc.

This season I'm trying to buy more basics, instead of really specific things (like, say, a purple and cream colored argyle sweater), because, not only for practically, but because I'll have more to build on when creating outfits.

And lastly, I got tagged by the fabulous Ane from FeedMeBerries!

So, I am to list 6 unimportant things that make me happy:

1. Drawing or painting. I find a great comfort in this, and even doing a quick 5-minute sketch can make me feel great. :)

2. Listening to music. It always calms my nerves, and it's the first thing I go to when I'm upset.

3. Cutting up magazines for my decoupage box.

4. Creamy macaroni and cheese - not the out-of-the-box Kraft kind.

5. Looking at a new buy that I've been craving (like a new pair of boots).

6. The smell of cookies (especially Snickerdoodles!)

And
Here are the rules.
Mention the person who nominated you.
List 6 unimportant things that make you happy
State the rules!
Notify those of whom you tagged, with a comment on their blog.

Well, I'm just going to make this tag open to anyone who wants to do it! :)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And, before I go, one last thing:
Are any of you guys using Google Adsense?
I'm interested in trying it out, but kind of uncertain about it. Do you think Good AdSense is worth the trouble? About how much do you earn?
(I know it depends on you site traffic, but do you earn in cents or dollars? Is the profit worth getting it? And do you have to have a LOT of traffic to get a reasonable amount?)
Sorry about all the questions...answering any question (if you use it) would be fantastic, though!
Thanks!
Bye for now! ♥
xoxo,
Tina :)
I do love the jewellary!
Its very cute and girly, and I imagine it fits well with all little dresses and femenine pieces.
Very good buys :)
And gosh, according to my mom, I have enough winter clothing, which is sooo not true! I need a lot more! I hardly have enough sweaters to last a week!
:(
But you should go to Forever21. I mean, I don't know what your favorite store is, or your budgets, though I know that purple scarves and turtle necks are definately at 21, if not, at American Apparel.
And sorry, have no idea about the google thingy.
And thanks for accepting the tag! :)
Those are sweet pieces of jewelry. I'm sure you'll get a lot of wear out of them.
Good luck with your shopping!
That rose is exactly what I love! We are accessory twins I think. :)
I don't do adverts in my blog so I can't tell you much.
Hey Fashion Ivy is under new management. I have decided since I'm not running it anymore to let someone else do it. Please come out and support Sharon.
Love the pearl necklace and that chunky black plastic ring. Always adds a bit of fun to an outfit right?
I have a purple scarf which I wear to death every winter. It has already come out to play! This year I'm after a pair of quality leather boots with a practical heel and a jacket!
The jewellery's all really nice :) I think I recognize the ring actually, but it's probably a different one. BUT, maybe I'll try out the ring myself, since I have small hands/skinny fingers too haha.
And I definitely need to buy more basics for my wardrobe too :)
I love the jewellery. I have the same problems with bracelets,
all the ones I like either fall off or swap my wrists!
I adore your ring, very cute! I went fall jewelry shopping the end of last month, but have yet to share (will do soon).
I hope you find your jet black jeans!!!
Nice picks! I have the same skinny wrist problem with buying bracelets and bangles :( It makes me a little sad.
I bought a ring like that the other day! Theyre so pretty :) mine is ivory though, and was really cheap. I think rings make excellent accessories, shame i have chubby finhers, hehe.
Will add you to my blogroll if you arent on there already!
Take care :) xx
i like the black flower. like you said, google adsense revenue really depends on your traffic and click rate so every site is different. but, it's not hard to use.
i love the bracelet! and can you believe how warm it's been in L.A.? so frustrating...i'm dying for cooler weather and layers!
I am into buying basics right now as well. I'm usually an impulsive buyer and I tend to get things that are impractical and cannot really fit into everything in my closet. It's a lot more practical and makes more sense to invest in a ton of basics before you go for the impractical. =)
i love that black resin ring!
and omg! no way. i wanted to be a harajuku girl, well, gwen stefani-ized next year! i saw the ads for her new perfume and i was very much inspired. do take pictures - i'm so curious to see what yours looks like!
I've been doing some fall/winter shopping too...
I'm on the lookout for a black swing jacket with no collar, and white skinny jeans even though it's technically the wrong season for them.
I love pearls =)
As for AdSense, it's not hard to put it on your site. You just copy and paste a link. I get pretty good traffic but haven't made that much money. I think you have to earn $50 before they send you any money.
I'd say try it, it won't hurt anything =)
aw, I'm totally going to go out and buy a flower ring now. I wanted one but felt it would be too much. but now i'm thinking it would be awesome. btw we had adsense. not truely worth it, they'd only pay you once you reach 100 dollars worth of ad clicks, so they didn't even pay based on how many visits it was about how many people clicked on your ads. so when we only reached 5 bucks after a month, we found it wasn't worth the wait.
